Secure & Flexible (#9)

We work in ways that ensure our assets, our data, and our brand are protected. We have controls to assure ourselves and others that we operate safely. Hope is not a strategy. We will spend time to discover unexpected weaknesses and determine ways to make things more robust. We design for reliability, pay attention to details, simulate problems, and practice live drills. We are also nimble and responsive, receptive to challenges and act with urgency. While we have a plan, we use this when appropriate and remain open-minded when it requires change. Our shared infrastructure and deployment pipeline enables speed and provides different levels of safety for different types of risk. We can canary-test changes and A/B test prototypes with ease. We can design, build, and run solutions that are as foolproof as possible, fully redundant, and with multiple layers of deep protection.
